| 4. Rick Brewer - percussionist / drummer |
|
Rick Brewer is a traditionally trained percussionist who has had an impressively prolific career in the music industry since his first professional gigs as a young teenager.
![]() Baz & Rick Way back in 1968 Rick Brewer was a founding member of Australian rock group, the Zoot, along with Rick Springfield, Beeb Birtles (Little River Band). The Zoot shot into the Australian charts with a cover of the Beatles “Eleanor Rigby" and Rick received an early taste of the full rock star madness.
Rick has played a fascinating range of styles over the years and has in more recent times been in demand by dance & techno track producers for his unique percussion abilities and trance sound. He has recently teamed up with songwriter Barry Ferrier and has provided the grooves on Barry's soon to be released original CD The Big One and a second album that is in the making entitled The Black Pearls. He and Barry have put Free Radicals together with Brian Watt and Hinch as a fun outing, to keep the music pumping and tighten up their 'originals act' by doing what they like to do best - some solid gigging at the coal face of the entertainment industry.
