Foot stompin' grooves, bareboned Delta fingerpickin styles, dobro guitar, fiery cajun accordian and smooth blues vocals.

Slim & Dr. Baz have been performing together for 6 years on the North Coast of NSW and SE Queensland and have played in Europe and the UK, and at several major festivals. This act is something really different to your run-of-the-mill pub fare, a refreshing, fun change with a toe-tapping beat.

The music they play is strong in mood and is very popular at corporate events where a different sort of theme to the "greatest hits" format can really set the event apart. This entertaining duo produces an infectious sound, featuring slide guitar in a 'blues and roots' Ry Cooder style, and some exciting boogie woogie piano and cajun accordian styles, with powerful vocals in an authentic, warm, "old timey" style with unusual and impressive virtuoso instrumentation.

Slim & Dr. Baz also perform as a three piece band with drummer/vocalist Neil McCann.

 

Enjoyed by young and old, Slim & Dr. Baz have enjoyed residencies at Twin Towns on the Gold Coast, played the Byron Blues Fest, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Blues on Broadbeach and the Gympie Muster. Their second album "Next Time" is currently receiving ABC radio airplay.
